DESIGN WORK PLACEMENT

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised design intern to join the team at our upcoming studio in London. Whilst working with the Design team, you will assist with a variety of different tasks related to researching ideas, creating moodboards, and preparations for collection finalisation. 
The internship duration is 4 to 6 months.

 

Role & Main responsibilities:

  • Supports the design team in translating ideas into products

  • Assisting the Designer with daily tasks and taking part in the development of one collection per season

  • Image and garment research within the collection concepts

  • Supporting the Designer during fittings

  • Preparing and helping during photoshoots and other tasks involving the realisation of the collections

  • Assisting with the coordination of collections

  • Supporting with logistics, packing and shipping samples, following up and collecting daily parcels

  • Creating mood boards, demonstrating an eye for the brand, presenting new and innovative ideas.

  • Demonstrating creativity in-line with the brand, creating mood boards with help with new ideas

  • Continually seeking to develop own skills and knowledge, within the team

  • Ensuring general office tidiness is maintained with samples put away correctly, filing fabrics and keeping the workplace organised.

  • Assisting the design and production teams with everyday tasks, including sourcing fabrics and trims, pattern cutting, sewing and developing prototypes.

  • Creating detailed digital drawings, preparing tech packs, line sheet, range plan on Adobe.

Requirements

  • Studying a design or development focused design degree

  • Excellent computer skills, including CAD, Photoshop, Adobe & Illustrator.

  • Good sewing and pattern cutting skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to take the initiative.

  • Professional and good time-management.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines.

  • Flexible working approach, diligent, team player able to adapt to the needs of the team.

  • Passionate about the brand.

  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong command of the English Language, both spoken and written.

  • Available 3 days a week.

  • School credit required.
