DESIGN WORK PLACEMENT

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised design intern to join the team at our upcoming studio in London. Whilst working with the Design team, you will assist with a variety of different tasks related to researching ideas, creating moodboards, and preparations for collection finalisation.
The internship duration is 4 to 6 months.
Role & Main responsibilities:

Supports the design team in translating ideas into products

Assisting the Designer with daily tasks and taking part in the development of one collection per season

Image and garment research within the collection concepts
-
Supporting the Designer during fittings
-
Preparing and helping during photoshoots and other tasks involving the realisation of the collections
-
Assisting with the coordination of collections
-
Supporting with logistics, packing and shipping samples, following up and collecting daily parcels
-
Creating mood boards, demonstrating an eye for the brand, presenting new and innovative ideas.

Demonstrating creativity in-line with the brand, creating mood boards with help with new ideas

Continually seeking to develop own skills and knowledge, within the team

Ensuring general office tidiness is maintained with samples put away correctly, filing fabrics and keeping the workplace organised.

Assisting the design and production teams with everyday tasks, including sourcing fabrics and trims, pattern cutting, sewing and developing prototypes.

Creating detailed digital drawings, preparing tech packs, line sheet, range plan on Adobe.
Requirements
-
Studying a design or development focused design degree
-
Excellent computer skills, including CAD, Photoshop, Adobe & Illustrator.
- Good sewing and pattern cutting skills.

Highly organised, proactive, and able to take the initiative.

Professional and good time-management.

Ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines.

Flexible working approach, diligent, team player able to adapt to the needs of the team.

Passionate about the brand.

Must be able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong command of the English Language, both spoken and written.
-
Available 3 days a week.

School credit required.
